News update (August 2011)

Belated news from the East Midlands Off Road Club (EMORC), including details of money raised at the Newark Kit Car Show and from the club’s Annual General Meeting (AGM).

Newark Kit Car Show

Thanks to everyone who helped to ensure the club’s appearance at the Newark Kit Car Show in June was a successful one.

Thanks to our members hard work and a substantial contribution from event organisers, the club managed to raise a fantastic £686.49 for the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance.

Everyone who attended also enjoyed themselves at the prize giving, as well as helping to raise £60.00 by taking part in the raffle. End of year results to follow.

Annual General Meeting (AGM)

At the club’s AGM, held in June, a new committee was formed with a number of victims taking on key roles.

Both Del Allen and Peter Newton have stood down from the committee. They leave their respective posts with the clubs thanks for all their hard work and commitment through the years.

David Brewer has now been installed as Competition Secretary (Trials) and Richard Brown has come in as Club Secretary. Both are challenging and important roles and we wish them the best of luck.
